Naci\u00f3 en Kumasi, Ghana y se traslad\u00f3 a Londres en 1973 donde m\u00e1s tarde estudi\u00f3 arte e historia del arte en St Martins College of Art (1989), y en la Escuela de Estudios Orientales y Africanos (1995). Tambi\u00e9n hizo un postgradado en pintura en la Escolla Massana de Barcelona, \u200b\u200bEspa\u00f1a (1991).<\/p>\n

Donkor trabaja la pintura fundamentalmente, pero tambi\u00e9n crea collages de t\u00e9cnica mixta, grabados, y ha comenzado a trabajar  el video. Los temas dominantes en su trabajo han incluido la iconograf\u00eda de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, la mezcla de estilos e im\u00e1genes de diferentes posturas pol\u00edticas y culturales, enfatizando la criollizaci\u00f3n como fuerza creativa que surge de la interacci\u00f3n los lenguajes, la cultura y el intercambio social.<\/p>\n

Donkor ha presentado varias exposiciones individuales desde 1995 en B\u00e9lgica, Francia, Alemania, Ghana, Senegal, Suecia, Sud\u00e1frica, Reino Unido y EE.UU.
